An Oklahoma girl during New York winter

It’s cold here!! So so cold. It feels like my toes and fingers are falling off most of the time. I know Oklahoma gets cold, but it just didn’t feel as cold as it does here. And the worst part is that it’s only late December! It’s bound to get worse! Every time I go outside my eyeballs feel like icicles! I’m going to have to invest in some Julbo Goggles or something, to protect my poor cold eyeballs from the glacial winds!

It hasn’t even snowed yet this year, and I’m already complaining! I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up like Ralphie’s brother before it’s all said and done.

But oh well, I’m sure I will get used to this as I have everything else that is so completely different about New York. It’s just a matter of being more prepared, and less whiny. For instance, remembering to bring my gloves would be a good start.

    I have lived in NY all my life and still hate the cold and winters. So I can relate and feel your pain Michele. Sorry, but have to agree this is only the beginning and kind of scared, because we had a mild winter last year. Don’t think we will get that lucky two years in a row unfortunately.

    Yikes, I guess I have terrible timing Janine! Should have come last year, so I could get broken in slowly.
